I am hoping this may fix my issues, I am using the Sabertooth X79 and a 3960X. When I install a single video card in PCIEX16_1 and my wifi in PCIEX1_1, the system boots perfect as it has for months. When I add in my second video card in PCIEX16_2, the system hangs at various times during bootup then reboots itself and I have no video.

  6. Kris Parish says:

the latest for 10.9 that you have posted?

  7. There is driver for Mac OSX 10.8.2?

  8. sniper9911 says:

does your method work on osx 10.9+ ??
i have a laptop with these specs :
    2450m , 6gb ddr3 , intel hd3000 work oob + nvidia 520mx ( identified wrong on osx) , hm65 chipset

    • rampagedev says:

No. Your Nvidia card will never work as you can not turn off Intel GPU in the BIOS. However you can use if for CUDA if you are luckily.

      • sniper9911 says:

actually it is there in device info :
        Chipset Model: NVIDIA Chip Model
        Type: GPU

        Device ID: 0x1051

Do you use DSDT patch,Retial driver,Cuda and kext that you set up(attachment).

  12. Artimess says:

For using ECC, you are saying on must add the slot identification edit in your DSDT. I am using your the DSDT injection that you are kindly made available. It has “AAPL,slot-name”, “PCI x16″,.
Is this what you are referring as Slot identification edit?
If yes, I cannot get ECC enabled assuming my card GT640 supports ECC?
If not could you could you please give a working example of DSDT slot identification.
    Thanks in advance

GTX 780, 10.9.3, after I install the webdriver 334.01 boots up and GPU fan goes on max speed, Nvidia Driver Manager says “Unable to open the NVIDIA Driver Manager. Please try again or re-install the NVIDIA web driver package from the Nvidia website”.

    Asus P9x79 WS, 3930k

Also saw your patched driver but dropbox link does not work anymore. Any ideas?

  14. Hi,

Hi rampagedev and thanks for this. However i tried using the nvidia web drivers and get worse results then before, get 63 fps in cinebench with these and 83 without. Am i doing something wrong or are the other ones better for my gtx 580? feel I’m not utilizing it to max since i get 120 in windows. Maybe its not possible to get near to windows scores?

    • rampagedev says:

Cinebench does not support Nvidia GPUS so this is a horrid way of benching. Also you can never compare Windows to Mac as they use different standards and ideology for GPU function so don’t compare as it is does not mean anything. Hope that clears that up.

  16. Edwin Erst says:

I installed the drivers for 10.9.4 and added the kernel flags, and I get a much higher score on Unigine Valley benchmark than the Windows side, but World of Warcraft flies on Windows, (with ultra settings), but not on Mac. My build is an i7 2700K with EVGA 760 SC card. Still can’t get the pref pane to open up either. Downloading the CUDA files now, will see if that makes any difference. I had a Radeon HD 6850 previously, and it worked great, although the 760 fps on Win7 is like night and day.

    • rampagedev says:

Direct X vs OpenGL that’s what you are seeing. Not comparable in most cases as most games are not fully optimized for both. Bioshock infinite is a solid game for both if you have it you can rest both.

  17. Stephen Mengis says:

I am still having issues with the GTX 780 card. I have two and whenever I update, one works and the other doesn’t. In system profiler the card is shown but there is a message that reads “kext not loaded” for the second card. I have tried the fix you detail multiple times and have no clue why it isn’t working.
