LGA 2011 Overclocking On A Hackintosh

The following are suggested LGA 2011 Six Core Over-clocking settings for Mac OS X. Mac OS X is written for a max core speed of 4.2 GHz and there is very little to be gained past that speed. That said some application can use a higher core clock. I take no responsibility for any damage that may happen due to the Overclock. For LGA 2011 Four Core users you may need more Vcore voltage then the setting listed below. More information will be coming later with these settings but I have been very busy the past 2 weeks.

New Nvidia Retail Driver Install Solution

New Nvidia Retail drivers have been released today. It introduces a new Preference Pane under System Preferences that allows you to enable the Nvidia Web Driver or OS X Default Driver The new drivers require information to be written to the NVram. Without this you will not be able to.  Meklort, who developed the NVram Module that we currently use, assisted me in understanding why the NVram information showed up on some systems and not others. If you are using my Recovery Partition And Enable All Features Of iCloud and iMessages fix you must remove nvram.log from /var/log/ before you can begin.

Nvidia GTX Titian For Mac

The Nvidia GTX Titan has been out on the market for several month. However users did not have access to any working drivers for the card and installing 10.8.3 update made the system un-bootable with the card installed. Since then Apple has provided developers with a new Beta for Mac OS X 10.8.4. The latest Beta gives the Titan full functionality under Mac OS X.

AMD 7xxx Working With Full QE (Updated12-7-2012)

As of Mac OS X 10.8.3 Apple has added the ATI7000Controller.kext which enables AMD 7xxx Series using DSDT injection. The device ID for the AMD 7850 is currently not present. Currently you must have a Apple Developers Account to obtain the update. You can see the IOreg here. DSDT code can be found on step 5 of my guide. For users who are stuck at a white screen put your computer to sleep while at the white screen with the power button. Then  wake the system and the card should now work. Also use Chutoro if the default Framebuffer does not work.
