    Hi

I’m looking for a system building expert, I’ve done my best and I’m exhausted!

I’m done fighting with Windows7, I need this Hackintosh to happen.

Where are you located? What rates do you charge? I’d love to book you to talk me through getting this PC up and running as a Mac.

    Thanks so much

    Hello guy,

First thanks for your great help with this website.
I’ve already built an hackintosh with your guides on my current computer (P9X79D, 3930K and Quadro 4000), and it works pretty well but today, I need to change it for a more powerful workstation.
I’m wondering if you could take a few secondes to tell me if the next one will be more easier and stable to set up, and if it will be optimized for a hackintosh. I’m a professional motion graphics designer (By the way if one day you need something I’ll be glad to help you.) using After Effects and Cinema 4d all the day, that’s why I need a strong build 😉

    – Asus ROG – Rampage IV Extreme
    – Intel Core i7 4930K
    – EVGA GeForce GTX Titan Black SC Signature – 6 Go
    – G.Skill Kit Extreme3 8 x 4 Go PC17000 Ripjaws Z CAS9
    – Corsair Hydro Series H80i

    Thanks in advance,

    Sebastien.

Have done tons of reading on your site and thank you for extensive write-ups.
I have a question about dual booting Win7 and OSX (Mavericks). This is my first time doing anything like this and I was wondering if both OS’s can have access to the same work files. I’m planning on keeping work data on a separate drive from the OS’s and would like to be able to read/write to the same folder from either OS. For example, i’d like to create a Cinema4d file while in OSX and then be able to access and change the file from Win7. Is this possible? And would I need to do anything special. Thank you.

  10. xavierF says:

    Hi,
i plan to make my first hackintosh, and i think buy this components :

    – Motherboard : GA-Z87-UD7 TH

    – 2x 8Go Kingston HyperX Beast series XMP RAM DDR3 2400MHz
    – Corsair RM Series RM750 – 80 PLUS Gold ATX 750W Modular
    – Bluetooth : iogear – GBU521
    – Wifi : TP-Link TL-WDN4800
    – Tower : Corsair Carbide Series Air 540

Do you think that will be ok without so much problem ?
and with wich method : Clover / Chamelion / Other ?

Thank’s a lot for your reply,
your website is full of informations, thank’s for that
    have a good day

  11. xavierF says:

    So,
    i would just know if
Gigabyte Z97X-UD7 TH is a good motherboard to make hackintosh
i have read your post about this motherboard so i’m awaiting your feedback on it, and wich method you use to install mavericks on it and what’s the problem you have encountered.
    thank’s for your work

  12. xavierF says:

other needs, is to use like a true PC with Windows 8 for Gaming 😉

  13. xavierF says:

so wich good motherboard are good for hackintosh with thunderbolt and for gaming on windows 8 ?

  14. Danny says:

    Hi rampagedev,

Was referred here by OSXLatitude (http://forum.osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/6727-win7pro-ubuntu-mountain-lion-triple-boot/). Here are my specs:

    -GIGABYTE GA-Z87M-D3H 1.0 LGA 1150 Intel Z87 mATX Motherboard
    -Intel Core i7-4770K Haswell 3.5GHz LGA 1150 84W Quad-Core
    -32GB (4x8GB) CORSAIR Vengeance LP SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
    -EVGA GeForce GTX 760 (4GB 256-bit GDDR5)
-SanDisk Extreme II 240 GB SATA 6.0Gb/s 2.5″ SSD

In a perfect world, I would like this machine to triple boot Linux, Win7 and OSX off the same SSD (4tb external used for storage). Have been getting *lots* of mixed information on the best way to achieve this, much less whether or not it’s even possible. For the meantime, my primary concern is getting Mavericks on the machine, provided I can sort out dual or triple booting after the fact. There is widespread disagreement on the preferred bootloader, GUID vs MBR, the order of which OS gets installed when, and so on. What’s your take on this?

    Many thanks in advance,

    -newmy51

  15. HI Rampage Dev, I’m new here I’m just wondering if you have guide for dual boot?
    Thanks

Hi RampageDev. Is your name Sebastiaan?

  18. Sam says:

Hi, I’ll will be building my first dual boot pc & hackintosh. It will be used for gaming (pc) & music composition workstation (hackintosh). This will be my setup:

    CPU – Core i7 4960X 6 core
Motherboard – Asus Rampage IV Black Edition
    RAM – 64 GBs -> Kingston 2400 C11 Beast
    Graphic Card – Asus GTX 770 2GB
    HDD – 1 x Samsung 840 evo 256 GB (Hackintosh)
3 x WD Black 2 TB (1 Hdd use for PC; other 2 for storage/ loading up working folders and
    heavy-cpu sample libraries)
    Processor cooling – Corsair H100i
Power Supply – not sure whether to use AX1200i or AX860i
Firewire card – not sure as well

I would assume the PC installation would be fine. So that leaves for hackintosh.

    My questions, then, would be:
    a) Does this setup work for Hackintosh? If not, what would you suggest?
    b) I’m assuming that Firewire 800 is not that compatible or optimize for any pc-type system. So, is
it possible you could recommend me a Firewire 400 card?
    c) For this setup, from the PSU options above, which is actually enough, assuming as well that I
    incorporate overclocking?

Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks.

    • rampagedev says:

Looks good. The Asus Deluxe has similar features and a little less so take a look. You can get a FW 800 card. I recommend one with a TI chip.

For your system get over 850 as with my main system I am just under 800 WATTs with only one GPU.

      • Sam says:

Got it. Will check on these then. Thanks man, for the reply. Really appreciate it. Probably will come back here when I’m about to do the installations.

  19. Sam says:

Hi, sorry….need to ask another question. About the TI chip, after checking, some people said that it works, or doesn’t work, and it has to depend on the kind of com setup. It kinda feels like I’ve to take a plunge and just get any kind of the T1 chip’s brand, and do a trial run. Is there anyway to finding out or to look for when getting this or what would you suggest? So far, I’ve checked Rosewill RC-506E, SIIG NN-E38012-S3 and Startech PEX1394B3 (this one is LSI/ AGERE ~ though I think this one is a no-no chip to use).

  20. Sam says:

Hi, coming here again. I’ve to change a little of my setup. Motherboard changed to x79 Sabertooth, SSD is Intel 240Gbs, and Processor cooling is H105, and I did get get any wifi/ bluetooth card. Hopefully it should work.

What happens now is that I was trying to do installation for OSX 10.9.4. Using the myHack installation method. So, I’ve entered the LGA 2011 Boot: -v cpus=1 npci=0x2000 GraphicsEnabler=No

After the black loading screen is done, then I’m stuck from here on. It doesn’t boot to mac setup. What should I do in this case?

  21. Hello, could you tell me,
    hackintosh Mavericks will work?
    My specifications are listed bellow

I have and Asus x99 Deluxe and cannot get the onboard bluetooth to show up. The wifi works. Combo Bluetooth wifi (Broadcom BCM4360). Everything else works great and no problems. The Bluetooth works on the windows side, so I know the hardware is ok. I have exhaustedly searched for a fix and cannot seem to make it go. I did not follow your x99 install as I found it after the fact. Would rather not start over.

    Thanks
