I’m looking for a system building expert, I’ve done my best and I’m exhausted!
I’m done fighting with Windows7, I need this Hackintosh to happen.
Where are you located? What rates do you charge? I’d love to book you to talk me through getting this PC up and running as a Mac.
Thanks so much

I have a system already put together and im wanting to run OSX 10, i need to know if it will work and what i need to do since my motherboard brand isnt listed.
MSI MPOWER MAX Z87
16GB Vengence RAM
MSI 660Ti Power Edition
Where do i get the DMG’s
You use the Haswell DMG.
It has ASUS and Gigabyte only….
And if you look inside the DMG its the same 😉
Use the same method of install and post install with drivers and then send me a IOreg and DSDT extract with BIOS version so I can add support.
Okay, i will do but I don’t know how. I don’t mind doing so but i feel back filling up this thread. Can you just email me.
If you need one on one support look here:
Email me if interested. AMD systems are not easy or simple…
Hi there, I’m looking to dual boot with windows 8, my current set up is:
Sandisk Ultra 256GB SSD
8GB DDR3 RAM
3TB Toshiba HDD

sapphire r9 270x
samsung 840 evo
hyper x 8gb
1tb wd blue
will i be having any problem with my graphic card?
Hi, I’ve done a lot of reading through your work. I’ve pulled a part list together. Please can you comment? This is for Audio Production (Pro Tools 10/11). Thanks in advance
i7 4820K Extreme Quad Core
16GB Corsair Vengeance LP
Samsung 840 EVO 120GB
2 x 2TB
Asus x79 deluxe ie the new one. To many issue with gigabyte bios with pm that are still not fixed…
First thanks for your great help with this website.
I’ve already built an hackintosh with your guides on my current computer (P9X79D, 3930K and Quadro 4000), and it works pretty well but today, I need to change it for a more powerful workstation.
I’m wondering if you could take a few secondes to tell me if the next one will be more easier and stable to set up, and if it will be optimized for a hackintosh. I’m a professional motion graphics designer (By the way if one day you need something I’ll be glad to help you.) using After Effects and Cinema 4d all the day, that’s why I need a strong build 😉
– Asus ROG – Rampage IV Extreme
– Intel Core i7 4930K
– EVGA GeForce GTX Titan Black SC Signature – 6 Go
– G.Skill Kit Extreme3 8 x 4 Go PC17000 Ripjaws Z CAS9
– Corsair Hydro Series H80i
Thanks in advance,
Thats not a upgrade at all… a 12 core with a Titan Black installed on your same system would be money better spent.
No that’s not an update, I’ve already sold my old computer (for differents reasons), so I need to re-build a new one.
My main hesitation is the GPU : 780ti is cheaper than the Titan Black. Do you know the best choice between these two cards for os x compatibility ?
Both cards work. Get the Asus x79 Deluxe.
Thanks for your quick answer. I’m not closed to any other motherboard. X79 Deluxe look great indeed, but what about Gigabyte ? I heard say that Gigabyte motherboards are more suitable to running os x
Gigabyte boards are worthless and no more hackable then any other brand. Also there BIOS are broken for x79 power management at this time.
Have done tons of reading on your site and thank you for extensive write-ups.
I have a question about dual booting Win7 and OSX (Mavericks). This is my first time doing anything like this and I was wondering if both OS’s can have access to the same work files. I’m planning on keeping work data on a separate drive from the OS’s and would like to be able to read/write to the same folder from either OS. For example, i’d like to create a Cinema4d file while in OSX and then be able to access and change the file from Win7. Is this possible? And would I need to do anything special. Thank you.
Yes. Use NTFS and get the app NTFS for Mac. I use this everyday.
i plan to make my first hackintosh, and i think buy this components :
– Motherboard : GA-Z87-UD7 TH
– Intel Haswell Processeur Core i7-4770K / 3.50 GHz
– EVGA GTX770 SC 2GB D5 2048 Mo
– 2x 8Go Kingston HyperX Beast series XMP RAM DDR3 2400MHz
– Corsair RM Series RM750 – 80 PLUS Gold ATX 750W Modular
– Bluetooth : iogear – GBU521
– Wifi : TP-Link TL-WDN4800
– Tower : Corsair Carbide Series Air 540
Do you think that will be ok without so much problem ?
and with wich method : Clover / Chamelion / Other ?
Thank’s a lot for your reply,
your website is full of informations, thank’s for that
have a good day
Sorry, i make error on Mother board, it’s the GA-Z97-UD7-TH
Build your own Wifi Card. Also use Chameleon.
thank a lot for your reply,
so for a good build,
Chamelon bootloader and wifi card like TP-link
other parts are good with GA-Z97-UD7 TH, out of the box ?
i would just know if
Gigabyte Z97X-UD7 TH is a good motherboard to make hackintosh
i have read your post about this motherboard so i’m awaiting your feedback on it, and wich method you use to install mavericks on it and what’s the problem you have encountered.
thank’s for your work
Its ok. All depends on your needs.
my needs, are simply a Hackintosh in backup of my imac, who i can use if, my imac come break.
so my needs is simply for graphics design with adobe creative cloud and photography, with thunderbolt, because i have a lacie 2big with my work on it
other needs, is to use like a true PC with Windows 8 for Gaming 😉
Not really a good board for gaming…
x8 x4 x4 with the 3 lanes populated.
so wich good motherboard are good for hackintosh with thunderbolt and for gaming on windows 8 ?
other components are (i7 4770K 3,5Ghz / EVGA GTX770 SC 2GB D5 2048 Mo)
thank’s a lot for all yours precious informations
None as all the TB boards have really bad PCIe bandwidth… one or the other…
Was referred here by OSXLatitude (http://forum.osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/6727-win7pro-ubuntu-mountain-lion-triple-boot/). Here are my specs:
-GIGABYTE GA-Z87M-D3H 1.0 LGA 1150 Intel Z87 mATX Motherboard
-Intel Core i7-4770K Haswell 3.5GHz LGA 1150 84W Quad-Core
-32GB (4x8GB) CORSAIR Vengeance LP SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
-EVGA GeForce GTX 760 (4GB 256-bit GDDR5)
-SanDisk Extreme II 240 GB SATA 6.0Gb/s 2.5″ SSD
In a perfect world, I would like this machine to triple boot Linux, Win7 and OSX off the same SSD (4tb external used for storage). Have been getting *lots* of mixed information on the best way to achieve this, much less whether or not it’s even possible. For the meantime, my primary concern is getting Mavericks on the machine, provided I can sort out dual or triple booting after the fact. There is widespread disagreement on the preferred bootloader, GUID vs MBR, the order of which OS gets installed when, and so on. What’s your take on this?
Many thanks in advance,
With 3 drives yes.
the 240gb ssd, 4tb external hdd, and what’s the third one for?
3 OS’s use 3 drives.
HI Rampage Dev, I’m new here I’m just wondering if you have guide for dual boot?
Buy a second drive. Done 😉
So you mean to say that is install OSX first on one drive, them install windows on second drive. After that do i have to install chameleon bootloader again in order to get the screen to choose OS?
Just disconnect the Mac drive before installing windows. Then use the boot loader to boot to windows.
z9pe -8 dw with 2650 v2 nvidia gtx760. Should have 16 threads but only found 15. backtrace lots of hex
kernal extension in backtrace
npci=0x2000 cpus=1 GraphicsEnabler=No -v
Takes a lot of work to get this system to work…
Hi RampageDev. Is your name Sebastiaan?
Hi, I’ll will be building my first dual boot pc & hackintosh. It will be used for gaming (pc) & music composition workstation (hackintosh). This will be my setup:
CPU – Core i7 4960X 6 core
Motherboard – Asus Rampage IV Black Edition
RAM – 64 GBs -> Kingston 2400 C11 Beast
Graphic Card – Asus GTX 770 2GB
HDD – 1 x Samsung 840 evo 256 GB (Hackintosh)
3 x WD Black 2 TB (1 Hdd use for PC; other 2 for storage/ loading up working folders and
heavy-cpu sample libraries)
Processor cooling – Corsair H100i
Power Supply – not sure whether to use AX1200i or AX860i
Firewire card – not sure as well
I would assume the PC installation would be fine. So that leaves for hackintosh.
My questions, then, would be:
a) Does this setup work for Hackintosh? If not, what would you suggest?
b) I’m assuming that Firewire 800 is not that compatible or optimize for any pc-type system. So, is
it possible you could recommend me a Firewire 400 card?
c) For this setup, from the PSU options above, which is actually enough, assuming as well that I
Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks.
Looks good. The Asus Deluxe has similar features and a little less so take a look. You can get a FW 800 card. I recommend one with a TI chip.
For your system get over 850 as with my main system I am just under 800 WATTs with only one GPU.
Got it. Will check on these then. Thanks man, for the reply. Really appreciate it. Probably will come back here when I’m about to do the installations.
Hi, sorry….need to ask another question. About the TI chip, after checking, some people said that it works, or doesn’t work, and it has to depend on the kind of com setup. It kinda feels like I’ve to take a plunge and just get any kind of the T1 chip’s brand, and do a trial run. Is there anyway to finding out or to look for when getting this or what would you suggest? So far, I’ve checked Rosewill RC-506E, SIIG NN-E38012-S3 and Startech PEX1394B3 (this one is LSI/ AGERE ~ though I think this one is a no-no chip to use).
Listen. People lie a lot. The best cards to get are TI based. They all work just some are more sought after. Thats it.
Oh I see. Okay, then, I’ll just go ahead and get any one of the TI chip then. Thanks again man.
Hi, coming here again. I’ve to change a little of my setup. Motherboard changed to x79 Sabertooth, SSD is Intel 240Gbs, and Processor cooling is H105, and I did get get any wifi/ bluetooth card. Hopefully it should work.
What happens now is that I was trying to do installation for OSX 10.9.4. Using the myHack installation method. So, I’ve entered the LGA 2011 Boot: -v cpus=1 npci=0x2000 GraphicsEnabler=No
After the black loading screen is done, then I’m stuck from here on. It doesn’t boot to mac setup. What should I do in this case?
*did not get any wifi/bluetooth card
Hello, could you tell me,
hackintosh Mavericks will work?
My specifications are listed bellow
intel i7 2600k
2Tb WD Black
But I have some problems with starting gtx560Ti on OSX 10.9.3. System loads only with flag “nv_disable=1”, otherwise – black screen! Could you help me to start this video card?
I have and Asus x99 Deluxe and cannot get the onboard bluetooth to show up. The wifi works. Combo Bluetooth wifi (Broadcom BCM4360). Everything else works great and no problems. The Bluetooth works on the windows side, so I know the hardware is ok. I have exhaustedly searched for a fix and cannot seem to make it go. I did not follow your x99 install as I found it after the fact. Would rather not start over.
Asus X99 Deluxe
AMD Firepro w7000
Cant debug since you did not follow my install method.
Hello, can you tell me will hackintosh Yosemite 10.10 work on my specs and which Bootloader should i use ?
My specifications are listed bellow:
ASUS Maximus VI Hero
Intel i7 4770K
Intel 520 SSD
Corsair vengeance PRO 32GB
Gigabyte Nvidia GTX 770 2GB Windforce
Yes and considering i only support clover for 10.10 that should answer the second question. 🙂
I have GA-Z97X-UD7-TH, INTEL i7 4790K, SSD SAMSUNG 250 EVO, 8gb RAM (4X2) G.SKILL 2400Mhz. (without graphic card for now). I want to install Yosemite but I don’t manage to do it. I install the operating system, but the audio driver does not work and when part without USB is slow. Can you help me?
I have the same system. If you follow my install guide and use the DMG properly post install there will not be any issues. Any issue would be self created.
Hi, will would like make Mac pro custom for Yosemite 10.10 with:
GA-Z97X-UD5H-BK Black Edition
INTEL i7 4790K
16GB Corsair Vengeance Pro Series
GTX 970 4GB DDR5 Asus
Carbide 500R Corsair
Corsair RM 750 Watts
This working too 10.11?
